The idea for the Holly & Ivy Holiday Homes Tour was presented by past New Bern Woman’s Club President Jeanne Collison, who, in 1998, introduced the idea of a holiday home tour to the Club and generously opened her own beautifully restored Robert Hancock House as the first featured home.
What began with one special home has blossomed into a beloved holiday tradition and a wonderful partnership with our community. Over the years, homeowners, local businesses, sponsors, musicians, florists, and volunteers have generously shared their homes, talents, and holiday spirit to help make this event so special.
And the best part? The net proceeds from the Holly & Ivy Holiday Homes Tour are returned to our community through college scholarships and contributions to local charitable causes.
By joining us for this beloved holiday tradition, you’re not only enjoying a wonderful day filled with history, beautiful homes, music, and holiday cheer—you’re also helping make a difference in the lives of deserving students and supporting organizations right here in our community.
Our friendly Holly & Ivy docents will be on hand to welcome guests and provide guided tours inside these charming historic properties, sharing a little of the history and holiday magic along the way.
