The well-known management consultant, Peter Drucker, said “What you have to do and the way you have to do it is usually incredibly simple. Whether you are willing to do it, that’s another matter.”
As the 2018 recipient the New Bern’s Club Woman of the Year, Holly Prafke is someone who “willing” does whatever the club needs. Whether it’s staking out lanterns and redoing holiday bows for Holly & Ivy, chairing the Home Life Department, carting 75 fragile tea cups, saucers and tea pots to the SMART Girls Tea or mucking out the storage unit after Hurricane Florence, she just shows up and pitches in.
After retiring from the Marine Corps as a Sargent Major (the highest enlisted rank in the Marine Corps) she joined NBWC in 2014 and brought with her a sense of humor, overflowing enthusiasm and a dedication to community service.
Congratulations Holly, we are a better club because of you and we are proud that you are our 2018 Club Woman of the Year.
